Check out the rest of Colinh9's Randall's Island experience at ufck.org

*Everybody Wake Up debuting soon? Garntd from ufck.org apparently ran into Bruce Flohr(the guy who suggested to Dave to use Glen Ballard and to scrap the Lillywhite Sessions) Bruce allegidly said "2nd leg of the tour they're going to bust it out. they're working on it now. all the other songs came together REAL easy, but that one is taking a while because it has so much going on, like boyd on the mandolin. it should be good, but yea, they're working on it"

Check out the rest of Garntd's thread at ufck.org

Rumor Review:
*There was a rumors going around that this was the last year for Alpine and it was going to be knocked down and have a Golf Course built in it's place.

Well, according to this article things are only going to get better next year and the short list of schedualed shows was only a fluke.

Band Picks an Enviro-Roadie:
"Wrapping up a nationwide competition, DMB and Ben and Jerry's has named Joshua Glasheen, of Lowell, MA, the band's "Enviro-Roadie" for the remainder of the tour. The move is intended to promote SaveOurEnvironment.org, a coalition of American environmental organizations that DMB is promoting during their summer tour. Glasheen started touring with the band on July 16, and will continue with them through the send of the summer, hosting the band's environmental exhibit. Glasheen names nancies.org and DMBRR as his favorite DMB sites, so we figure they've picked a winner."

"You've gone to DMB concerts and stood among a throng of people after a show peering at tour merchandise looking for a memento of your concert.

Or, at least you've cruised the official Dave Matthews Band Store looking for a T-shirt or poster that reflects your fandom. We've all at one point or another sought out something to symbolize the feeling you have for DMB.

Jon Marro is the graphic designer behind the design firm, Fire Hydrant-Red. His has done merchandise design work for Madonna, Jason Mraz and of course, Dave Matthews Band."

*DMB and the Stones on October 6th at Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, VA?
-"Rumors have been flying around The Dave Matthews Band and The Rolling Stones teaming up again on October 6th at Scott Stadium, reports The Hook, a Charlottesville weekly newspaper that is very on-top of DMB news. The article also goes on to explain how Trey Anastasio also plays into the mix.

We recommend you read the article (by Lindsay Barnes), but here are a few points.

Scott Stadium isn't a typical venue that the Stones would play. The rest of the tour lineup is major cities with multiple nights. Seeing as they are playing at the MCI Center in Washington D.C. three nights before the Scott Stadium date why travel a short 110 miles south to Charlottesville? It was originally thought that DMB would be opening for the Stones, but Trey Anastasio has since been announced as the opener. That hasn't stopped the rumors though.

Trey and DMB definitely have a growing history as Wednesday's Altlanta show indicates.

. Currently Trey, the only one stop opener for the Stones, doesn't have any shows immediately before or after the date, and John Mayer Trio will open the shows immediately before and after the Charlottesville stop. Hmmm. While it seems to make sense it's all still an rumor, though an interesting one at that."

Thanks to an article on Antsmarching.org for that info

Live Aid 2005 back in Chicago
*20th anniversary Farm Aid concert comes to Chicago area

CHICAGO (AP) - Farm Aid is coming to the Chicago area for its
20th anniversary concert.
Organizers held a news conference in Chicago today to announce
the event, which will be held at the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park.
The September 18th concert will be headlined by Willie Nelson,
John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews. And organizers are
planning a week-long series of events to celebrate the fund-raiser,
which got its start in Champaign in 1985.
Over the years, Farm Aid has raised 27 (M) million dollars to
help farmers. Willie Nelson says this year's efforts are focused on putting
farmers back on the land and promoting organic farming.
Tickets will go on sale July 30th, and organizers say more
performers will be announced.

Episode #003 07-10-2005 #34 Special Edition

Check out Episode #003 for 07-10-2005 here! 6zo6rl.png

Hey everyone! Here's Episode #003 of the Podcast.

*Big news, the Unofficial DMB Podcast is now listed on iPodder.org!! Hopefully this will bring in some new listeners.

*EVEN BIGGER NEWS, #34 was played last night. Full band, full version without lyrics. First time played since 3.23.93. That's 4,491 days!!! It was teased on 6/25, 6/29, 7/1

Song History:
This song made a brief span of appearances in early 1993. It was inspired by and written for Miguel Valdez, a percussionist who sat in with the band in 1992 and who passed away in early 1993. It was finally released in 1994 on Under the Table and Dreaming (Track #34) as an instrumental track. It is also co-written by Haines Fullerton, an early collaborator who took his own life in September 1996.

Fully Played: 10
Partial Count : 1
Tease Count : 3

More information about #34, along with who has guested on the song, main lyrics and alternate lyrics, can be found here at DMBalmanac.com

Thanks to Brian Furbush for the #34 mp3. You can find the torrent for the entire show here at Bt.etree.org

Some fan reviews from last night about #34:
#34 -- "Oh sweet, I caught them teasing this one. Oh shit, the rest of the band is joining in. Oh fuck this isn't a tease. Sweet merciful Jesus they are actually playing this song...." To the dude in the Celts' jersey sitting next to me, happy 20th fucking bday. If I had to guess, probably about 5 min long or so. The band went through the main riff for a while, nice little solo from 'Roi, before going into the breakdown to end it. My jaw is dropped and my pants are soiled. Crowd goes completely apeshit (Yes, they recognized it)."

check out the rest of bsan34's review here at Amidreaming.org.

" #34 - well, what can you say? i never, ever thought i would see this in person. was *hoping* they would play it since it's my 34th show, but never thought it would be a full band version. amazing. so tight and oh so good. i was in shock and still sort of am. not too many people around us knew what it was. the band looked so happy playing it and the crowd was so loud when they just realized they were playing and playing. sounded so good. just amazing."

check out the rest of pgr17's review here at Amidreaming.org.

" #34 *******-> it sounded like the chords of crash into me at first and that had been played regularly this tour, then i saw dave turn to carter then to fonz, say, are you ready?? fonz jumped in with the bass, carter and roi came in at the same time, im like damn, this is one hell of a tease, then boyd jumps in and theyre going so peacefully, roi was amazing. then they went into the second part and back to the first, then second to first movement again, then the breadown, holy shit!! with all the steps and everything. everyone around us was so quiet, you could see the storm clouds back on the horizon.... it was so peaceful, people knew something special was happening here, it was great, it got like a 3 minute ovation, way to be. i told ya dave loves mass! "

check out the rest of Smittay's review here at Amidreaming.org.

Road crew message from last night:
"Road Crew message
Few words can describe the terrific show we had in Mansfield tonight. The band played a set that will leave people grinning for a while. It goes without saying just how cool it was to hear #34 in its entirety, played live for the first time in over 12 years. Other highlights included Drive In Drive Out, Say Goodbye and Time Of The Season. Heck, the whole show was great. See y'all back here tomorrow.

wOoT! Here's Episode #2, did some sprucing up of the site. Hope you all like it.

* Ufck.org down?
-"The site got hacked. UFCK's host didn't install patches for SSH and left a huge loophole wide wide open. They now want to change their host because of the idiotic move by this host (leaving a huge security hole wide open). The host is making them buy the hard drive that the database is on if they want it back. They are going to buy the hard drive and are in the process of finding another host for UFCK (they might've found one already).

That is what is happening.

I heard the site will be back up as soon as they can get it back up, which I have heard might be early next week. "
